### Rates and Project Fees Every project has its own combination of density, length, complexity, budget, and deadline which means no two projects' potential per-hour-rate can be categorized identically. For this reason, Lucas prefers not to set hourly rates for his services. Instead, Lucas prefers to set a single fee based on the whole project. Here's how we find the numbers: 1) Lucas and a prospective client will set this project cost by taking a 10-30 minute video call to discuss the project's details, scope, deadline, and aspiration. 2) At this end of this call, Lucas will write down the *minimum* amount of money he would take for this project. 3) Simultaneously Prospective Client will write down the *maximum* amount of money they are willing to spend for Lucas's assistance. 4) Lucas and Prospective Client will reveal these two numbers at the same time 5) If Prospective Client's proposed budget is above Lucas's minimum fee, then the project cost is the mean of these two numbers. 1) If Prospective Client's budget is less than Lucas's minimum fee, then the project is not a good fit.
