I organize my home computer by the [Johnny Decimal System](https://johnnydecimal.com/documentation/introduction) and find it be very useful for making folders findable. My website is structured similarly.
The system is simple: use a 2-part number system "XX.YY" to give places a "big home" and a "little home". Using the number system, you are not beholden to alphabetization moving things around on you. From their website:

At the same time, on my personal website I am only using the first digits (as opposed to the last digits) to sort my things, because my website does not need as comprehensive a folder system as my big stores-everything folder and hard drive.
